“Comfort Rose,” serves as my way of expressing and experiencing of how nature and art gets me through any adversity.
I was finishing this piece as the love of my life was struggling with his addictions, and how I found a way to still love, yet place the oxygen mask on myself first. Comfort Rose tells a potent story about the beauty and vulnerability of true love, it is about about the serendipity of resilience that emerges from challenges, and the healing powers of nature and engaging in the depths of creative expression.
Comfort Rose comforted me as I allowed myself to feel my life partner’s pain, my own pain, and was able to ultimately hold love for him, and stay strong for our grown kids, as he slipped away and lost his battle to addiction. Love is forever, and this rose is a forever rose for my beloved and what we shared. Recovery is always possible, and I never lose hope for anyone struggling. Comfort Rose was my anchor through this, through covid lockdown, and I am eternally grateful for that beautiful energy. Now it is time to pass it on.
I am slowly adding this story into my revised edition of Natural Self Discovery, as my approach to humans recovering our natural selves. I hope you will follow me and continue with me on the next frontier for #humanity amidst #climatechange and our adversities of late. We can adapt by discovering and recovering our natural selves, creating harmony with ourselves, others and our planet.
