Nautilus Energy – A hope for balance…
Little did any of us know the journey ahead of us at the onset of 2020. I certainly could not have imagined what was in store as I ventured into this piece last winter. All I knew is I was yearning, searching for balance within some extremely difficult challenges and choices before me. The Nautilus shell, the actual creature that resides within this shell, was a vision for balance. The shell in its perfect design and flow, the creature that once resided in this shell was able to flow through the currents carrying its protection.
Painting this piece became a soothing, reassurance that I desperately needed. The warm tones were a refreshing delight, along with the cozy composition. I could nestle into this shell so easily, and find a way to just keep swimming along.
So as I faced some epic life changes, even before a global pandemic emerged to rock everyone’s lives, I reached for the inspiration of balance from the Nautilus. My hope is that you might sense the same essence through this work.
