“Wintery Island Sunrise” 16” x 20” x 1.5” original oil on canvas.
Inspired by a lovely post by a friend on San Juan Island, at Eagle Cove. I saw the hint of these cloud formations from where I am by Friday Harbor Labs, yet the scene from that part of island emerged from this lovely spot, I dove right in that day. Nature’s moments are fleeting, just like our senses, and this lovely, peaceful moment had to go on canvas. The softness, the delightful hues of peach and pink, transitioning to lilac.
I hope this finds cozy home where this gentle, subtle gift from nature continues to soothe!
